DP Inspector is a line of hardware appliances offering multiple security related functions.

DP Inspector Hardware platforms include:

- 50W: The newest addition, targeted to wireless LANs and includes support for up to 50 users. This 2"x6"x10" device includes an 802.11a/b access point.

- 100: Entry level with integrated Security ASIC processor, 3 10/100 ports, 100+ users.

- 500X: Mid Level with 2.0 Ghz processor, Security ASIC, 6x10/100 ports, 500+ users.

- 2000X: Four Gigabit Network interfaces, Xeon processor, VPN ASIC, 1000s of users.

The DP Inspector is populated with BT Security Softblades which provide the appliance's actual functionality. Such Sofblades include:

- Firewall/VPN: Stateful packet inspection Firewall, 3DES IPSEC VPN, PPTP L2TP server.

- High Availability module.

- IDS/IPS: Intrusion Detection and Prevention module with active response to reconfigure firewall and ACL rules on Cisco Checkpoint and NetScreen firewalls.

- Vulnerability Assessment: Host vulnerability scanner with central reporting, differential scans, etc.

- Content Filter: Virus scanning, URL access control, E-mail anti-spam, malware protection.

- WiFi/LAN Auth: Two factor authentication for Wireless (802.11) and Wired Ethernet networks with Mac address lockdown and optional VPN.

- Secure Office: PPOE, Mail, DNS, Win2000 domain controller (PDC), SSL enabled WebServer.

- STAR Engine: Event correlation and IPS system consolidates alerts from different security applications and proactively responds by applying active firewall rules. Automatically stops attacks on 3rd party products including Cisco, Check Point, and NetScreen.
