MPP provides virus and spam blocking, archiving, E-mail monitoring capabilities, content filtering and a policy engine. MPP also offers administrative, end-user, operations and server/SMTP interfaces of an E-mail filtering application that are independant of the underlying E-mail scanning technology.

At the core of the MPP is the policy engine which enables service configurations on a per-user, per-domain or per-group basis. The policy engine allows you to configure scanners, security and compliance services and configuration options on a per-group basis.

The MPP policy engine integrates with LDAP directories for the provisioning of new services.
