Centralized Management of Removable Media Devices

DeviceWall enables organizations to protect themselves against malicious or accidental computer misuse by managing the connection of removable media devices, such as USB sticks, iPods, PDAs, memory cards and even internal CD and DVD writers. In addition, DeviceWall allows companies to lock down the Bluetooth, Infrared or Wi-Fi ports on a PC.

DeviceWall allows organizations to manage individual devices based upon a user's (or group of users') specific needs or privileges. This user-based policy is flexible enough to manage one-off policy exceptions. Moreover, DeviceWall can be centrally managed and administered. If a user does connect an unauthorized device, a customizable warning can be displayed to educate the user and alleviate helpdesk queries.

DeviceWall supports Active Directory for management and also offers off-line temporary access. The product has automatic policy updates and version management. It allows organizations to automatically keep connections open for legitimate devices that are not capable of storing data, such as mice, keyboards and printers, while blocking read/write devices.
